West Auckland Working Men’s Club and Institute is a very busy club catering for not only the locals but for many visiting clubs.(CIU Affiliated)
The ground floor is a large games room with 2 full size snooker tables & 2 pool tables, large screen TV’s & a darts area.
The lounge bar which is nicely decorated and displays the Thomas Lipton Trophy (1st world cup)
On the next floor(accessible by lift) it has another lounge bar & large concert room. We hold bingo nights & at weekends it’s always busy with live entertainment.
There is no parking immediatly outside the club but spaces can be found around the village green or by the post office.
The beer is always cheaper than the local pubs which in the main are closeing one by one. Worth a visit if only to see the world cup from 1909 & 1911 winning team of West Auckland.West Auckland WMC is one of the oldest Working Men’s Clubs in the area.
Recently the club has had a lift installed to the First floor allowing greater access to those with walking problems.
The Club has a long tradition of looking after all our members, arranging activities and entertainment to suit all ages and tastes.
We offer competitive priced wines, spirits, beers, lagers and soft drinks in truly comfortable surroundings.
Members, CIU affiliates and bone -fide guests are always made welcome.
